When the iGPR Software and Managed Service Dashboard is installed at the practice this will allow us to connect remotely in order to access patient records to undertake instructions on your behalf.
The Managed Service Agreement is the contract that defines iGPR as a Data Processor acting on instructions of the Practice, the Data Controller. Therefore, there is no need for a Data Sharing Agreement which is between Data Controllers. It is the Managed Service Agreement that the Practice needs to accept if the decision is made to use iGPR Managed Service.
The practice remains ultimately responsible for report content as the Data Controller and we act as a Data Processor on your instruction. See our DPIA and Managed Service Agreement for further guidance.
Your Practice's Privacy Policy should be updated and we will supply you with an addendum. You are free to take any additional steps to further clarify to your patients.
If a patient has requested to view a report prior to sending to an insurer, we will send the patient a copy of the report to review, approve or reject. If the patient reviews and approves the report, it will then be sent to the insurer. If 21 days elapses after reports have been sent to the patient with no response, we will release the report to the requester.
On the iGPR Managed Service Dashboard you will be able to see the live status of any instruction keeping you fully informed at all times.
Where a report requires full medical notes or paper notes that have not been digitally added to the patient’s medical record, you will need to scan and simply attach to the instruction you create using our Managed Service Dashboard. We will help you minimise the need to do this by asking you to check the date range for the request with the patient. This will save you time and effort.
