Who creates reports at iGPR?

Reports are processed by our experienced former practice staff who have extensive iGPR knowledge. They have been producing medical reports in their own practices for many years.

Our Head of Managed Service has over 14 years Primary Care experience and has worked as a DPSO for more than 150 organisations including Practices, CCGs and Federations.

Our DPO, Head of Governance and Compliance and Legal Advisors Mills Reeve have all been instrumental in the development of the managed service.

How can we be sure that you will act responsibly and confidentially?

We are a DSP Toolkit registered organisation. iGPR is a listed NHS GPIT Futures provider.

We are contractually bound to maintain confidentiality and GDPR Compliance as defined in the Managed Services Agreement, our staff are contractually bound to maintain confidentiality and GDPR Compliance and we are additionally bound by all contracts we have with third parties e.g. insurers.

We will only access practice systems for the purposes outlines in EULA and The Managed Service Agreement.

How will you connect to the Practice?

When the iGPR Software and Managed Service Dashboard is installed at the practice this will allow us to connect remotely in order to access patient records to undertake instructions on your behalf.

What is the contract between the practice and iGPR? Is it a Data Sharing Agreement?

The Managed Service Agreement is the contract that defines iGPR as a Data Processor acting on instructions of the Practice, the Data Controller. Therefore, there is no need for a Data Sharing Agreement which is between Data Controllers. It is the Managed Service Agreement that the Practice needs to accept if the decision is made to use iGPR Managed Service.

Who is ultimately responsible for report content?

The practice remains ultimately responsible for report content as the Data Controller and we act as a Data Processor on your instruction. See our DPIA and Managed Service Agreement for further guidance.

Do I need to tell my patients that we are outsourcing medical reports?

Your Practice's Privacy Policy should be updated and we will supply you with an addendum. You are free to take any additional steps to further clarify to your patients.

What will you do if the patient wants to see an insurance report?

If a patient has requested to view a report prior to sending to an insurer, we will send the patient a copy of the report to review, approve or reject. If the patient reviews and approves the report, it will then be sent to the insurer. If 21 days elapses after reports have been sent to the patient with no response, we will release the report to the requester.

How do I know the status of reports? If they have been completed? If they have been sent?

On the iGPR Managed Service Dashboard you will be able to see the live status of any instruction keeping you fully informed at all times.

What do I do with paper records?

Where a report requires full medical notes or paper notes that have not been digitally added to the patient’s medical record, you will need to scan and simply attach to the instruction you create using our Managed Service Dashboard. We will help you minimise the need to do this by asking you to check the date range for the request with the patient. This will save you time and effort.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, our flexible service means you can cancel at any time.
